#coffeeoutside 2016

Here are all the places that I’ve done #coffeeoutside in 2016.  Mmmm coffee.

1. April 24 – Hartwells Locks, Rideau Canal

This is one of our favourite local #coffeeoutside spots.  Hartwells Locks is tough to beat.

Pros:

  • Close to downtown
  • Access by bike path
  • Water view!
  • Quiet – no vroomy cars
  • Picnic tables
  • Washrooms and water (during lock station opening hours)
  • Picturesque bike ride through the Arboretum (Ottawa’s “Central Park”)
  • Lots of bike traffic across the lock to watch

2. Hintonburg Park

This was a #coffeeoutside out of necessity while I waited for my kid to finish up his judo class.

  • Other people’s children (OPC)
  • Not super scenic

3. Dovercourt Park

Pros:

  • Picnic tables
  • Great park for kids
  • Nice excuse to ride the Churchill cycletrack

Cons:

  • Other people’s children (OPC)
  • You may be mistaken for a homeschooling group (this happened)

More to come…  I’ll be updating this page as more events happen.
